Emergency Services Team

The Gillies Emergency Services Team is seeking volunteers for the Fire Team, First Response Team and for the Association.  All training is provided to new members.  If you don't wish to become a member of the team but have some time to help out with fund-raising, consider becomining a member of the Gillies Fire Association. For furthur information, contact the Gillies Muinicipal Office.

The Gillies Emergency Services provides the community with fire protection and emergency medical response. 

 

 

 

We are currently in need of additional volunteers in front line and support positions:

 

  • FirefightersEmergency First Responders

  • Truck Drivers

  • Fire Prevention and Education Committee

  • Logistical Support Personnel

  • Administrative Support

  • Family Support

  • Volunteer Association

 

 

 

The department responds to an average of 25 calls a year including: structure and brush/grass fires, motor vehicle collisions and medical calls.  We train twice a month (once for Fire and once for First Response) and perform routine maintenance once a month.
