The following advisory committees gather information and make recommendations to Council for consideration on topics and issues under their mandates.  The Committee Members Policy  sets out the procedure by which members are appointed to each committee. 

Fire Protection Advisory Committee

An advisory committee with the mandate to address fire protection services in Gillies Township.

The committee meets the third Monday of each month at 7:30 PM at the Fire Hall. 

The March meeting is being held on March 1, 2010 at 7:30 PM.

General Advisory Committee

An advisory committee with the mandate to provide background research and to prepare recommendations to council on any matter referred by council. 

Currently the committee is working on the Pee Dee Park Enhancment Project, and the Municipal Complex Project.

The committee meets the first Monday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Municipal Office.

Note:  Due to the first Monday falling on the Easter Monday holiday, the committee will meet Tuesday, April 6, 2010.

An advisory committee with the mandate to address the service delivery of roads construction and maintenance in Gillies Township.
